End of Winter Quarter

Three classes down, one to go.

It's been a rough patch these couple of weeks post thanksgiving with preparing for finals and papers. Finished with physics and orgo these past two days.
I am just thankful those are done and over with.

Can't wait to go home and experience some genuine down time. My flight is on Saturday, very early in the morning, getting out of Evanston as soon as possible, haha.
Going to visit Mike at Harvard on the 17th, trying to find some time to fit in for a trip up to Cornell, but because of their finals schedule, might not be very possible. Nonetheless, it will be a blast.

Yankees are trading for Curtis Granderson, nice to see a other capable bat in pinstripes. Granderson is in the prime of his career and I think will add a bit more speed and range to the Yanks. Definitely a much better upgrade over Melky Cabrera at center. Now all we need is that baller named Halladay.

BTW, my ipod's battery life has blatantly decreased. To a point where maybe 3 hours of music is all I am going to squeeze out of it. Any advice on how the most effective way to recharge it?

Another quarter/ Happy Thanksgiving

Sophomore Year..............30% Complete
The other 3% being the finals and things, despite them being more justified at around 15%

Not exactly the most exciting way to spend my thanksgiving, staying in my empty hallway/university.

Just want to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Also, congrats to Huili, she has a new baby brother! WOOT!!

World Series

This definitely warrants a new blog.

New York Yankees are going to the WORLD SERIES bitch.
Also the Yankees are going to take a big fat deuce on the phillies as well.
I just wish I was home so I can be a part of it.

I'm eternally disappointed by the fact that my friends are such anti-Yankee buffoons. Get over it Yankee haters, just because the bronx bombers are willing to win and therefore willing to spend money to get the best players to put them in that situation, doesnt mean that the Yankees suck. So stop moaning and bitching because your respective teams owners are too cheap to proceed likewise.

Andy Pettitte came up big again, and that is why he is my boy. So proud to wear his jersey. If he keeps firing his cutters and spot his curveball for strikes, I think we will be in good shape. Props to him for getting his 16th post season win also.

And there is no one like Mo, enough said about that I think.

Hopefully CC will stay sharp over the extra rest leading up to game 1 and that Phil Hughes and Joba will put their ALCS struggles behind them. World Series is a clean slate for them.

In other news, Halloween is this friday, what are ya'll doing for the festivities? Customes? Leave a comment and let me know your plans.

I'm thinking of planning a trip during winter break, anyone interested in participating??!?!?!

Thank god its the weekend

I LOST MY WILDCARD.

I was hurrying to print out this proposal for my Asian American history class at the library when I forgot I left my card stuck in the printing vending machine. When I went back to get it two hours later, it was gone. I'm hoping whoever found it has the right conscience to return it to the circulation desk. I only have 88 cents on there anyways...

Took the first orgo quiz today. It went better than I expected, only because I expected the quiz to be rough to begin with, especially with all the rumor going around at Trzupek. Definitely lost a good chunk of my sleeping time yesterday night.

Two weeks in, I think I'm starting to get settled down a bit more, able to concentrate better. We'll see how this weekend turns out, as there still remains a ton of catching up to do with the problem sets and readings.

Hoping to start playing some more basketball once I get my Wildcard issue resolved. Aiming for a MAJOR improvement over last year's intramural campaign.

Alright, Here is a little something for your amusement. I don't know why, but at the time it seemed a good idea. I sang this song called let me tell you by philip wang during the talent show for this math program I participated in in summer before junior year of high school. Now, it takes a lot of courage for me to post this up because of the, umm..shall i say, "lack of quality", of this video. So go lightly, and amuse urself at my expense. I don't want to hear any teasing later though. haha. maybe a little bit. maybe not.

this is so embarrassing, but I hope this makes you smile nonetheless.

Move in day

Moved into Foster Walker today. Room is better than I expected, pretty roomy compared to my room last year. But the building is so poorly designed. Living on the first floor, the only way I can get to my room from the lobby is to goto the second floor and then go down to the first floor. The only other way is to go from the back of the building, which can only be allowed from 8 am to 8pm. So this is a big hassle. Also, no kitchnette, so no cooking shin ramens in the pan, which means I have to settle with boiling the water in the microwave and pouring it on the dry ramen itself...

maybe tomorrow ill get to make a supply run to Target with a couple of friends and get some water and stuff.

Windows Live Writer Test

This is a test of windows live writer (Ignore)

This is a great looking wallpaper:

Koala

Enjoy!

1st entry

So I'm testing out blogger and windows spaces to determine which service is cooler. This is the first post on blogger.

Just got done with a presentation for my summer internship at New York Blood Center.
I worked on the devel0pment of this modified ovalbumin protein and its potential to become an anti-HIV agent.

It was a bit nerve wrecking in the beginning because the people who were watching it were all from the various labs in NYBC and its definitely not like giving a prsentation in class where the only person who seems to know/or pretends to care about the contents of your what you are saying is your professor.

But I managed pretty well I gotta say, pretty satisfied with myself.
